Rang Vidushak is entering a new phase of artistic expansion, bringing together young theatre directors, designers, actors, and practitioners to explore new directions in contemporary performance. For over three decades, the organisation has been committed to creating innovative theatre while organising festivals and cultural events that primarily showcased its own productions.

In 2025 and 2026, Rang Vidushak initiated the Rang Vidushak Theatre Festival, marking the beginning of its vision to establish a nationally recognised theatre event. Building on the success of these editions, the organisation now aims to transform the festival into an annual national platform that occupies a distinctive place among India's leading cultural festivals.

The earlier editions of the festival reflected Rang Vidushak's distinctive performance aesthetics and theatrical methodology. While this identity remains central to the organisation, the 2027 edition seeks to broaden its scope.

The Rang Vidushak Theatre Festival 2027 envisions a vibrant cultural platform that brings together diverse performance traditions from across India. It will celebrate the dialogue between folk, tribal, and regional theatre forms and contemporary performance practices, creating meaningful artistic exchanges across generations, regions, and disciplines.

The festival will become a space where traditional knowledge meets experimental practice, fostering collaboration, innovation, and cultural continuity. Through performances, workshops, discussions, and community engagement, it will encourage the sharing of ideas between senior theatre masters, emerging practitioners, students, and audiences.
